Top Ten Auto-Buy Authors
...or maybe, auto-buy authors if I had the money. This should be easy... right?!
1. Darynda Jones
I own a couple of her YA books so far, and all of the Charley Davidson books :D I literally just pre-ordered Ninth Grave yesterday....
2. Janet Evanovich
If I had the money, I'd own ALL of her books!! I've only read the Stephanie Plum books so far, but I plan on starting on her other series soon :) I pick up a Plum book when I'm feeling down and need a laugh, when I'm in a great mood and up for a mystery, or just in the middle of the night and I can't sleep. I generally binge her books in a day or two, it's like eating candy!
3. J.K. Rowling
I mean, a good writer is a good writer no matter what nome de plume...
4. Leigh Bardugo
Three words || The Grisha Trilogy || This series has my heart!
Three more words || Six of Crows||
The wait is almost over! Obviously I wish I could've gotten an ARC of this wonderful starter to a new series, but alas things like Book Expo are too far out of my budget. Cannot wait to read it though!
5. Dan Brown
Mainly the Robert Langdon series (except I've yet to own Inferno, though I've already read it*) I cannot get enough of the mysteries, thrills, suspense and action in his novels, and I love where I can learn something in the process.
*Anyone looking to buy me a copy? *wink wink* *hint hint*
6. Marissa Meyer
If the Lunar Chronicles were a large bowl of lucky charms, I'd chug it in under a minute, I love her works so much! I wish I could live in this world... well, pending the outcome of the whole Queen Levana domination.
7. Stephen King
I mean... I don't even own half of his books, and I know it would be a large feat to own all of his books, but I'm trying. Well, I'm trying to keep up...
8. Elly Griffiths
Like I've said earlier, I love when I can learn something in an entertaining way. Elly Griffiths books are so dark, mysterious and full of thrills and history. I'm so glad I can count on her Ruth Galloway novels not to disappoint :)
9. Lauren Oliver
Her writing is always so beautiful!! Not the mention her plots and ways to really get readers' attentions. I've loved all of the works I've read of her so far, and whenever I find out she's coming out with a new book, I immediately pre-order it. She's a reader's breath of fresh air!
10. Beverly Lewis
She's the author of my most favorite amish trilogy (The Heritage of Lancaster County,) and I've read all of her latest books! Literally, when I see an arc up for grabs, I insta-request it, because I need my regular Beverly Lewish fix, lol! If I had the money, I'd definitely own alllllll of her many many books!
----
Sidenote: A lot of the authors I wanted to list are, sadly, no longer with us. If I could still read from my favorites such as Michael Crichton, Agatha Christie and Stieg Larsson, believe me, they'd be at the top of the list.
I've only read one Beverly Lewis book because there are just so many books to read LOL My TTT
ReplyDeleteAnother Stephen King lover. I just bought 2 more of his books which I hauled last week. I also love Darynda Jones. You have a great list!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I think I'd need an entire bookshelf dedicated to King if I were to own aaaaall of his books, lol
ReplyDeleteDeeefinitely a lot of BL books! I think she releases like 5 a year or something, haha! But I'd absolutely recommend The Shunning & the other two Heritage of Lancaster County books :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
