Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Goals For 2015

TTTuesdayHosted by The Broke and The Bookish

Top Ten Goals for 2015

I'm horrible at resolutions, but here we go!

1. Read More

This year I've only read 57 books, and I'm used to reading 100+ a year. What happened? My etsy shop, I suppose. I really need a job, and since the etsy shop is all I have right now, I've spent most of the year trying to think of new things to add to the shop. Hopefully next year I'll have a better system for the shop (and hopefully a more stable job.)

2. Blog More

Okay, more or less, I think this blog is on seriously life support. There was a time when I absolutely loved to blog and write reviews of every book I read, but recently it's felt more like a straining job that I don't get paid for. ARC's can get very stressful, so I think I need to find a way to make blogging fun again.

3. Write More

Totally different from the latter! I want to enjoy writing again, and participate in NaNoWriMo again like I did in 2012 & 2013. This year I feel like I haven't been myself and haven't been doing any of the usual things that I generally found fun, but I guess that the problem with growing older :/ I have a journal and I plan on starting a 365 writing and art journaling project.

4. Lose Weight

I have to come up with 10 things. This might as well be one of them.

5.  Get a job

So this should really be number one, but I thought I'd add something more fun at the top to keep me going on with this list. I haven't heard back from anywhere that I've applied (even for seasonal positions!) so I don't know what's going on.

6.  ....

Okay, so seriously that last one was depressing, and I can't think of any more resolutions. That's my life. One big bore.

  1. I had a backup on Netgalley a while ago and it definitely killed my mood to even read because it did (sort-of) feel forced. But I just took that hit to my % and decided to read for myself (with or without writing reviews) and that sort of helped in getting back that enjoyment factor. So yeah, I guess just find what works for you (that's hopefully void of stress and negativity) and run with it!

    Cheers,

  2. Yeh I think I seriously need to take step back from the arc's (at least the digital ones,) because I've slowed my reading by a mile just thinking about them, lol! Thanks so much!
