What did I finish reading?
Since I last did a WWW Wednesday...
Parallel by Lauren Miller 5/5 (review)
I absolutely LOVE this stand-alone novel! It's definitely on my to-buy list, had I any money.

Dancing with the Devil by Keri Arthur 3/5 (review)
It was okay but, for me, wasn't the greatest. I do still want to read the next in the series.

The Uninvited by Liz Jensen 3/5
This had a slow build-up, and the ending was just sort of blah. It was a good horror story (although I admit there's never been a book that really "scared" me,) but towards the end the plot confused me.

Playing with Fire by Kayla Perrin 3/5 (review)
I had expected something with the same plot development as some of the author's previous novels, but it fell short. I wasn't into the near-existent plot, and I didn't much like the characters involved.

Throne of Glass (ToG #1) by Sarah J. Maas 4/5
I reeeeeeeally liked this book! An empowered female that has to fight for her freedom while enduring challenges fit for a champion! I absolutely loved this story of an assassin and her background story and cunningness. I can't wait to read the next in the series, which I should be starting on next week for ARC August!

The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman 3/5
I loved this book's fantastical charm and intrigue, but I failed to see the message, or meaning in the storyline.

The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle #1) 4/5
This book got a lot more interesting after the halfway mark. I was kind of floating through the book until then, but was glad the action picked up and I can't wait to read what happens next.

What am I currently reading?

Believe by Sarah Aronson
I'm 32% through, and moving slowly on it. An ARC I'm reading, Believe is about a sole survivor of a church bombing. It's a bit slow, and I have to say the main character is very whiny, but I have hope that it will get more interesting. I'm at the point where Janine is returning to school after her friend's accident.

Demon from the Dark by Kresley Cole
I'm 79% through (340 out of 430 pgs.) and I'm going to try to finish it right after this post. This book is a part of what I'm reading for the High Summer Read-a-thon. I love this storyline!!! It's not overwrought with romance and it has a plot with purpose.

What do I plan on reading next?

Fifth Grave Past the Light by Darynda Jones
I CAN'T WAIT!!!! I love every single last books of these books and I'm just jumping up and down with excitement to read this!! Good thing this is another book I'm reading for the read-a-thon because I know I can read this in a day, although I'll want it to last.

Dreams of a Dark Warrior by Kresley Cole
YES another Kresley Cole book for this read-a-thon! I have to get through my library books somehow.

MacRieve by Kresley Cole
      *slams down mug* ANOTHER!
