Teaser Tuesday

Hosted by Miz B @ ShouldBeReading

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

"I noticed how steep the angle of the floor was, and quickened my pace. The ship was sinking, and if I tarried down here much longer, I might well sink right along with it." (132)

Voyage on the Great Titanic: The Diary of Margaret Ann Brady (Dear America)

Weird how I just randomly turned to this page and found this quote! If you find this a spoiler, than you know nothing about the Titanic.
I finished Life of Pi yesterday (review) and I just started on an ebook that doesn't have "real page numbers" so I decided to pull out an old childhood book from my favorite series that I've been meaning to read for many years now. I've always loved the Dear America series and was always amazed with how much information I used to obtain from them. I remember searching the scholastic book fair every time it came to my elementary school just to get a hold of these books. This is the one book I own that I haven't read yet, but will start on today.
